Thanks for the reply Adrian. I like MX so much was really hoping it would be possible.
Here's another idea: What about installing MX on a system locally and copying the files over to the empty partition on the datacenter machine?
I'd start with an existing Linux installation so it would be similar, install everything to an empty partition and let grub on the existing Linux find MX with prober & add to its' boot choices.
I would then tweak the MX install to not start / remove X and install & config openssh.
If that sounds like a reasonable idea, is there a respin that might be a better option for headless operation?
