Static IP - can I do that on a client? Doesn't the router override and rule who's called what? Route, not much luck but then I'm not sure my inputs are right or in the right field, copying the settings verbatim from a linux-based satellite tv decoder.
reinstall network manager - there are 5 packages under "enabled repos" with names starting network-manager-*, if I uninstall them and they don't install back, will that cut access on systemd or is that ringfenced from user mutilation?
