Thanks for helping, I tried the advice above and ended up with no WiFi at all, it really doesn't seem to want to use the wl driver. I have gone back to b43, which is working but still slow. It still comes up as b43-pci-bridge in the system info.By defaultfile looks like this:Code:
/etc/modprobe.d/broadcom-sta-dkms.conf
So, you can edit it to show like this. (Delete all the contents and copy-paste this, save, close).Code:
# wl module from Broadcom conflicts with the following modules:blacklist b43blacklist b43legacyblacklist b44blacklist bcmablacklist brcm80211blacklist brcmsmacblacklist ssb
... Reboot.
If still not:If still the same we'll go on to force it.Code:
sudo modprobe wl
In the meantime it's normal that it's not working perfectly or is slow etc., cause :
... driver: b43-pci-bridge
Actually no such driver, it just indicates either no driver was loaded or there are conflicting ones (specifically for Broadcon devices)
