Software / Configuration • MX Snapshot - username?

Hello!
I have created MX Linux in a VirtualBox virtual machine. I created the snapshot to install the system on another computer. All settings should be preserved, but it would be best for me if during the installation on another computer I am prompted to enter a new username and password. I then made all the KDE settings as needed, installed basic packages, made configurations, etc.

I named the username in the virtual machine "virtual".

Now I have created an MX snapshot, where you can choose between
- Keep user accounts (e.g. for personal backup)
- Reset account (e.g. due to publication as distro)

I wasn't sure here and therefore selected "Keep user accounts". I was afraid that if I chose "Reset account", not only the username would be reset, but also the userfolder, with all the settings that I had previously laboriously made in all the programs and in KDE.

Would that be the case? Or does "Reset account" really only reset the username and password, but the settings remain untouched? I would just be interested in this for the future so that I can do it better next time.
