MX Help • Re: Hang on shutdown - "Killing all remaining processes...failed"

I have a couple of UUID-delineated fstab entries for an external SSD, but I have not plugged it in recently.

I first observed the issue around July 7th. On July 2nd, I installed tradingview from a downloaded .deb file. I have observed the issue whether or not I had used that software in the current session FWIW. On July 4th, I installed some updates. I'll add the apt logs below.

I did try pressing enter when it gets stuck, and I just add a new line with no change.

It does seem that if I wait a few more minutes, the computer will proceed to shut down. So maybe I just need to be patient and not worry about it.

Am I correct in my basic diagnosis though that the shutdown messages from my screenshot indicate that systemd-udevd / udevworker is responsible?

Thanks again.
