Hey yeah thanks for pointing that out.
I had already put a link in my question 3 above, which was the reason why I created it as a new post, because it is not the same thing, it is about removing packages.
Also I have no idea what the other response you made was, as I explained in my response to Charles I was asking if anyone knows of a way to achieve in Synaptic or MXPI, not command line if possible. Also the links Charles mentioned are also from other forums not the MX forum, so not sure I know what you mean when you say "the forum's", but regardless no I was not able to find how to do this in Synaptic or MXPI, so to answer your question, no the search functions are not giving me what I need.
