MX Linux KDE Plasma uses Wayland, a windowing system that's designed to be more secure and efficient than X11. Wayland is the default window manager in KDE Plasma 6.0

• why it *wasn't* installed as the default WM

• the SysV equivalent to the "one-liner" command that shows all installed and currently running WM/DE, so I don't get:

  System has not been booted with systemd as init system (PID 1). Can't operate.

  or, better, having neofetch return "Wayland" or "xOrg" as the WM instead of

  @+ *@@@@@@*..*@@+ *@@%- =@@@@@@- +@ DE: Plasma 5.27.5
  @= *@@@@%- -%@@- := -%@@@@@@@: +@ WM: kwin
