you system is using UEFI.

so go into mx-boot-options->Manage UEFI Options and move the mx entry to the top.
The MX entry in Boot Options is now likely the 2nd from the top. Click to highlight it and then click move up. This Is a pretty normal state of NVram entries in the UEFI firmware.

Said succinctly - last installed is the Grub in control. Boot options can revert that.
