Salutations!
I was going to place this in the thread about the respin update, but that seems probably rude.
I do ask a legit question at the bottom. Thank yoU!
Thank you for maintaining the IceWM for MX-Linux! I'm liking it a lot so far. In the past, I wouldn't have used it much because i find the menus a bit confusing.
HOWEVER... with the advent of Synapse, it's practically a no-brain'r to go w/ IceWM if running a sys with limited resources. I'm actually sad I didn't try this sooner. Tried Fluxbox but i'm terrible about fighting with the panel config/ tint2, etc. Just can't get it.
But IceWM is okay. I think I had them confused. I know there were others. older gent dates back to the "blackbox" era? (i think it was called blackbox...)
I'm running 4GB ram on an HP All-in-One:
Could someone please advise how I might improve my icon appearance? Please see screenshot here.
To clarify, I understand how to preview/ select preferred icons (e.g. "dark" vs "light" depending on theme / window mgr settings), but I do NOT know which panel/ dialog I want to open for IceWM to get to the appropriate config dialogue. (that is, whatever I'd type into Synapse [or xterm] to open it)
Also. I am looking for an app to alert me when my available RAM reaches critical resources. I am constantly running out of RAM, and the system usually just goes to a black screen if i haven't been too careful about it. I realize I have the system indicators in the taskbar by default -- which is really cool actually, but I often forget to monitor that.
Thank you!
