I don't know specifically how VM performance will be affected, but the jump from an i3 to an i5 is significant. Going from an i5 to an i7 makes much less difference IMO.

Chris
Very true. For most users that jump will be the most significant one. The biggie for VM's will be in the CPU cores you can allocate to the VM AND the speed.

For my i7-9700K with 32gb ram, allocating 4 "cpu's" and 8gb ram, then sitting that VM down on my extremely fast nvme ... it's a dream to run . ( and, I can even have 3 running at the same time - although this I feel everywhere.)

Tuning the VM for your machine processor, ram and OS will be the next thing to do, there will be a sweet spot and for MX as the host / guest .. that sweet spot is pretty wide and nice :-)
