Thank you for the info. I have previously dual booted with every version of windows except for 11. It seems to me that microsoft have put every barrier in the way to stop linux being installed. I did run my 23 snapshot on the Dell and it all seemed to run OK.Regardless of whether you decide to dual boot or not, there are things you need to do to prepare the laptop for MX:
-- You should access your Microsoft account and retrieve the BitLocker encryption key
-- you need to disable Fast Start UP and Bitlocker from within Windows 11 --> MX will not install if Secure Boot is active
-- if dual booting, you need to use Win 11's own disk management tools to shrink the partition and create the space for MX
-- you need to disable Secure Boot in the bios and while in the bios you should change the SATA mode from RAID to ACHI --> you will need the BitLocker key if the bios balks
at disabling Secure Boot
-- suggest that you uninstall One Drive and disable Co Pilot while in Windows.
